IBEX – First Details on the Production Vehicle

From Concept Car to reality: first insights into our 4x4 Camper Van based on the VW Crafter

There are moments when an idea becomes something more. The IBEX has reached exactly that point.

It started as a concept car, showing what is possible. Now it shows what is coming.

With all-wheel drive, automatic transmission, and a consistently off-road-oriented setup, the IBEX based on the VW Crafter will enter series production from August 2026.

A 4×4 Camper Van built for paths beyond the known, for real challenges – and for those who want to go further. Even now, we are giving you the first glimpse of the production vehicle.

Built for everything that begins beyond the road

The IBEX is made for what cannot be planned. For routes not marked on any map.

Standard features include all-wheel drive, automatic transmission, just under six meters in length, 1.98 m standing height, and powerful 163 hp.

Its presence: progressive, bold, confident.
Its mission: to take you where others turn back.

Four paint finishes reflect the elements where the IBEX truly belongs: Desert Sand, Lava Black, Stormy Grey, and Glacier Blue.

The topographic graphic design has been refined – a tribute to all who have explored new paths and turned the unknown into mapped territory.

Tested where it matters

As a concept car, the IBEX has been in real-world use for months – including tests in Iceland with our Adventure Crew member Denis Barbas. His off-road footage went viral. The insights gained directly shaped the next evolution.

The result: an available factory off-road package featuring a Light Bar and 18″ off-road tires. It also comes with a robust roof structure with integrated awning and a high-quality electric off-road step.

Built for demanding terrain. Everything is designed to push you further. Not back.

Engineered down to the smallest detail

Inside, the IBEX shows what it was truly built for: life on the move.

The transverse double bed in the rear benefits from widened bodywork and offers a sleeping area of 200 × 136 cm.

The pull-out refrigerator creates additional storage space – accessible from both inside and outside.

The specially developed roof concept provides an impressive 1.98 m interior standing height, creating a true sense of openness and freedom.

Beyond the Ordinary starts here

The IBEX is closer to reality than ever before.
And at the same time exactly what it has always been:

A vehicle for everything beyond the ordinary.

The first steps, the first paths, the first tracks. Where it all began.
